BUSINESS activities in the nation’s capital progressed normally with no major election impacts, according to Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive officer David Conn.
Conn said the general elections in the city have had no major impact on the activities of business houses.
“For most,  it is business as usual as they work through the minor inconveniences of the polling days delays, staff disruption due to voting issues and anti- social elements taking their democratic rights a bit too far at the expense of the general public,” Conn said.
“We still have to go through the stage of establishing a government, but the sooner we have a solid government in place the better, and we can get back to serious business.
“Certainly, the country has spoken and the message is clear – they do not want things to continue as they are.”
