FINANCE and Treasury Minister Don Polye is seeking a judicial review in the National Court of his suspension by National Alliance party executives.
He is specifically seeking his suspension, as announced by party president Simon Kaiwi, from being effected by the NA party executive.
In addition, he is seeking the suspension of the other NA members by the national executives, as reported in the media recently, not to be effected.
Polye is seeking the recognition by the party of his appointment as the NA party leader which would effectively remove it from the original founder of the party, Sir Michael Somare.
The court proceeding seeking the judicial review was filed on Oct 5, in the court registry.
It had seen five mentions and the sixth was made last Friday before Justice Royale Thompson.
The proceedings also seeks that other NA politicians who were sacked because they had moved to the new government to be not effectively suspended from the party.
Polye is also seeking confirmation from the courts of his appointment as the new NA party leader.
Polye has named Simon Kaiwi and the National Alliance (NA) executive as defendants in the proceeding.
Last Friday, the matter came before Justice Thompson who adjourned the matter to Nov 25.
