CLUBS involved in the finals of the Port Moresby men’s softball competition are reminded to attend a special general meeting tomorrow at Bisini Softball Diamonds at 5pm.
The president of POMMSA Ralp Tarasomo said clubs must send representatives to this meeting.
He added that this was a directive from the POMMSA executive to all the clubs to show cause.
He extended the special thank you all the clubs, players, coaches and managers who have participated in this 2009-10 season.
“It was quite a hectic one with an increase in the B grade competition.
“A special commendation is extended to Tony Simatap and Rotni Siril for their commitment right from day one,” he said.
Tarasomo congratulated minor premiers PNG Power in A grade and Gazelle in the B grade for their achievement.
The president issued a stern warning to all  clubs to refrain from  violence as POMMSA entered the elimination rounds.
“The penalties will be hefty for anyone thinking that it’s okay to do so,” he said.
“The Lae side scenario must remind us of the consequences. We remind everyone that there is zero tolerance on violence and the good sporting image of the code must be reflected in the outcomes of the games whether win or lose,” he said.
The POMSSA president said obtaining sponsorship from corporate companies was very difficult especially if discipline was not an integral part of the game.
He appealed to all the clubs in the semi-finals to go out and play their best.
“All games must be won on the diamond so play safe, play right and play fair.”
