The Port Moresby Netball Association will stage  its semi-final playoffs across all divisions this Saturday at the Rita Flynn Netball Courts.
The top four teams in each division from the Under-10s to premiers will face each other to decide who advances to the grand final and who will hang up their netball bibs for the season.
In the premier division the first semi-final playoff will be between third placed Esco Telstars and fourth-placed Credit Corp Sparrows.
Both teams have endured a season full of surprises and pitfalls, with the Telstars managing to scrape into the top four with a string of favourable results.
After leading the competition in the early part of the season, Sparrows suffered successive defeats that almost saw them drop out of the top four completely.
The second semi-final will feature minor premiers Snax Mermaids and second placed Monier Paramana. Mermaids have been outstanding this year losing only one game in the regular season.
With quality and experienced players across the court it was no surprise that the Mermaids were able to manage this feat.
Paramana have been solid this season playing consistent and effective netball while the teams below them have performed below expectations. Paramana have a well balanced team consisting of experienced campaigners and promising youngsters, who will punish teams who are not fully prepared come game time.
Premier division semi-finals will be played on Saturday. At the Indoor Court 2, Telstars will play Sparrows, while Mermaids take on Paramana.
