CANDIDATES vying for positions with Port Moresby rugby league board have until close of business today to submit their intention in writing to the interim board.
POMRFL board acting chairman Labi Amaiu said as per the constitution, all application to contest any position must be in writing to the acting board secretary Jamuga Stone and POMRL administrator McKenzie Maino this afternoon.
He said the positions open for candidates included president, senior president, junior vice-president, secretary and the treasurer.
Amaiu stressed that his board would not entertain any application after this late afternoon’s deadline.
But the board or acting secretary will allow any verbal nomination from clubs who are vying for the position.
Amaiu also reminded all the clubs to submit copies of financial reports, meetings and other necessary documents to Stone or Maino by Friday before the meeting on Saturday.
Amaiu said clubs who failed to submit these necessary documents would not be allowed into the meeting.
He appealed to all club delegates and representatives prepare themselves for this weekend’s annual general meeting at Shady Rest at 3-Mile.
