Poor response from NBC’s managing director

 I REFER to the response made by the managing director of NBC. 

The coverage signal for 90.7 FM is very poor. 

For instance, NBC coverage past Tubuserea along Magi highway is out and the same thing is experienced by listeners after Brown River and beyond.

Coverage in Telefomin, Lae, Pangia, the whole of New Ireland and in most parts of the country is very poor.

I still remember before the last general elections that the O’Neill-Namah government funded for antennas to improve coverage for people to get election updates from NBC.

Until now, the coverage does not seem to improve. 

I wonder what had happened to all those funds. 

Moreover, the NBC owned land at Bautama along Magi Highway is a national asset and its sale is unacceptable. 

The NBC management could have use the land for other investments which would generate income for NBC.

I call on the prime minister and other authorities to look into these issues and reclaim the land.
