Poor show by the PM

Letters, Normal

With due respect to Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare, the replies he gave to the Al Jazeera TV interviewer were not what I would expect from a PM.
He cannot blame Deputy Prime Minister for not making funds available.
Sir Michael is the Prime Minister and he calls the shots.
He also blamed the public sector and others for corruption and defended his cabinet ministers, saying they are trying to clean the mess up.
Well, the people of PNG think otherwise.
The Prime Minister did not outline his plans for tackling corruption but passed the buck to someone else.
The interview clearly showed the Prime Minister has lost touch with what’s going on.
I hope he prepares himself better the next time the international media interviews him.
