IT was a disappointing start to NCD Public Servants netball competition with most teams who turned up winning on forfeits.

In the premier division, Works forfeited National Broadcasting Corporation while in the other matches, Finance led by Vaine Watson proved too good for OC Eagles winning 17-11.

Eagles led by Rawa Soi (WD) did not have enough power to stop Finance, made up of Gold Coast 2010 Pan Pacific Masters Games bronze medal winning side.

In the other premier match, National Fisheries Authority beat Telikom 34-22 to make their intentions known that they are set for a big year this season.

In the first division match it was double forfeits in the opening match as IBS-POMGH and Labour failing to field teams.

In the second match, PNG Power forfeited IRC while the only match for the day was between Didimeris and NCDC.

Veteran campaigner Anjie Joku (GK) for Didimeris could not muster enough support as NCDC walked over them with convincing 28-10 victory.
