MEDICS and Higaturu Oil Palm Tigers drew 10-10 in the Popondetta rugby league competition.

Medics were leading when Tigers fought back to level scores.

In the other matches Cross Back Spiders upset competition leaders M4M Bulldogs 16-10 in tightly contested affair that went down to the wire.

Spiders were the better team on the day and deserved the win as they defended well to deny the Doggies.

Sponsor Steven Kila Pat praised his boys for the good win but they still have to maintain that form as the playoffs were a long way off.

Rugby league is going through a mini resurgence with residents and workers taking to the game as fans and as players.

This has been evident as the four clubs in the competition have maintained their standard.
