Popondetta league plan big season

 Popondetta Rugby League executives are planning to increase the 2014 season proper.
President Anko Vamage said Royals and Sorovi had expressed interest in joining the competition.
Vamage and deputy Jeff Mea were tight-lipped about which club to accept to join the four clubs – Northern Motel M4M Bulldogs, Spiders, Hoppl Tigers and Medics.
Vamage said the clubs had been advised to meet certain requirements such as sponsorship, constitution, bank account, training facilities, player base and junior development.
“Intending clubs need to meet these requirements to be accepted as an affiliate member,”he said.
“We have identified potential ta­lents in the two clubs but they should go by the PRL’s requirements to see that clubs are well managed.
Vice president Mea said it was important that clubs had the player base so matches were not forfeited.
