PREMIERS BNG Poreporena (1.00) pipped Monier KCC (0.60) and Pacific MMI Coasters (0.20) on net run rate to take out the inaugural ITI T20 Cup and K500 prize money at the weekend.
All three teams had five wins each so it came down to the net run rate.
In the Under 19 division, United defeated Pacific MMI Coasters by 40 runs to take out the T20 crown.
The A grade, U16 and U14 competitions will start this weekend.
Pacific MMI Coasters, BNG Poreporena, Badili Hardware Wanderers registration have been paid in full.
However, Monier KCC, Kempa, Chili Sounds Raukele, United, Trukai Hoods have been reminded that the first K500 payment will be due at the end of this month.
In the week four Twenty20 games, Monier KCC (5/115) defeated Pacific MMI Coasters (10/56) by 59 runs in the first round 6 game.
Henoa Geita and Eava Lamond top-scored with 56 and 43 runs respectively while Joe Temu 3-10 and Geita Reuben 3-10 supported with discipline bowling. Kempa (4/151) upset Chili Sounds Raukele (10/107) by 49 runs with Warren Ilaraki leading their assault with 75 runs.
In the final round 6 match, BNG Poreporena (2/117) cruised over United (10/112) by two wickets but United (2/117) bounced back to beat Kempa (10/116) by 8 wickets in the first round 7 game.
Veteran Rarua Dikana’s 39 not out plus Tanti Heni’s 30 runs and Dikana Boge’s fine bowling spell of 4-24 gave the former one day champions the victory.
And KCC (8/117) continued their winning streak over Badili Hardware Wanderers (10/100) by 17 runs.
Temu starred again in their second win by taking three wickets for 14 runs.
Raukele (7/132) made up for their embarrassing loss against Kempa defeating premiers Poreporena by (10/121) 11 runs.
Gimapau Keimelo led his side to victory by hitting 64 runs.
In the last round 7 match, Coasters (2/126) defeated Trukai Hoods (4/123) courtesy of captain Chris Amini’s 58 not out.
