THE Port Moresby cricket competition men’s A grade will see the grand final this weekend between BNG Poreporena and the SNS United Cricket club at the Amini Park tomorrow.
This will be the fourth consecutive year where the two teams will face-off in a grand final.
Both teams have very young sides that have shown surmountable skill over their opponents during the 2009-10 season and should display a show of class in this weekend’s meet.
So far, BNG Poreporena have remained undefeated in their last four games leading to the grand final and will definitely seek a final win to seal the season.
However, SNS United on the other hand, will look for a clean sweep in the grand final after claiming the minor premiership of the season.
And with two PNG Under 19 Garamuts batsmen Lega Siaka and Timothy Mou, United should feel comfortable with their experience.
Also this weekend, the Colts Ground will host the grand final for the men’s A reserve division which will see the Badili Hardware STC and the Coasters battle it out for the season’s title.
STC proved their strength during last weekend’s semi-finals and should prove to be a handful for the Coasters with batsmen Mark Solien and Clive Elly.
But,  Coasters are capable of taking those vital wickets and keeping up with the run rate.
