Poro book final berth with extra-time win

 PORO, Women’s National Soccer League Lae-leg winners made the grandfinal after dethroning PNG Power 4-2 in extra time.

The Lae Football Association team were in an even tussle with    the scores level at 2-2 in humid conditions at Sir Ignatius Kilage stadium. Power opened the scorebook in the 6th minute after Luvena Karo belted home the first goal but the lead was cut short when Poro’s Meagan Gunemba went in for the equalizer minutes later.

Powers Irene Karo to extended the lead to 2-1 and the play continued until Gunemba scored her second goal to tie the sores 2-2 heading into the break.

Both sides proved hard to separate in the second half with the scores at fulltime locked at 2-2.

In a tense scrap in extra time, Zeena Limbai broke through to give Poro a 3-2 lead before Evon Gabong sealed the match.
