PORO FC are the minor premiers of the Ox & Palm women’s national soccer league’s Lae leg.

The women from Papuan compound came from behind to draw with PNG Power FC 1-1 after being held scoreless by Power, in a game that was played on a wet surface of the PNGFA Academy field last Saturday.

The win qualifies them for their title shot.

PNG Power with the wind behind their backs had better coordination in the mid-filed for their strikers but could not get pass Diana Dabinyaba, Hegar Teddy, Yasap Ganu until the 28th minute when Irene Karo slotted the first goal.  It was not until the dying minutes when a penalty to Poro saw them equalise.

PNG Power 1 (I. Karo 28) Poro 1 (M.Gunemba 76) HT: PNG Power 1-0 PNGFA Academy 11-Mile.
