Post PNG providing govt services, says official

POST PNG, which relies on its logistics channel and distribution as its main revenue earner, is now providing other government services to the people.
Chief operating officer Ben Davis said with 44 branches nationwide, its strength was in its ability to deliver mail and parcels door-to-door or to private letter boxes.
“We have other services apart from logistics such as the popular Salim Moni Kwik, Western Union, Post Shop for telephonic items and top-up cards, airline tickets for Air Niugini and PNG Air and PNG Power Ezi pei,” he said.
“Our success is dependent on every Papua New Guinean who uses our services.
“So I encourage citizens to support this national entity.
Davis said with the continuous decline in mailed letters over the years due to technology, the entity was seeing an increase in mailed parcels coming to the country mainly from online orders and shopping. “Although we experienced a slight drop in volumes due to the Covid-19, indication are that it will pick up again,” he said.
