Power outages causing setbacks

Letters

THE prolonged power outage by PNG Power Ltd has been an ongoing problem and is a setback on peoples’ daily activities and businesses.
It is sick to see continuous power outages for consecutive days without prompt restoration.
PNG power Ltd, being the sole power distributor in the country, is slackening enough to turn a blind eye on restoring power immediately.
It is a slap on the face and a wake-up call for authorities to look into this issue.
Prolonged blackouts have impeded normal business operations and has affected daily household activities.
Electricity is one of the main essential factors that facilitate all these daily activities.
The technical faults maybe too hefty to restoring power but these prolonged blackouts have become a norm for years.
When are we going to improve?
Sick and tired of this hindrance.
PNG power needs to tighten its belt by now.

  • BLACKOUTS ARE A CONSTANT OR CHRONIC EVENT…IF THE UNEXPLAINED BLACKOUTS HAPPENED IN AUSTRALIA FOR EG: THE MANAGER WOULD BE SACKED ON THE SPOT AND REPLACED.

THE SOLUTION IS FOR THIS COUNTRY TO INVITE SEVERAL ENERGY COMPANIES…COMPETITION WILL DEFINITELY IMPROVE POWER SUPPLY…
JUST LOOK AT PEPSI AND COCA-COLA….COKE WAS ABOUT TO CHARGE K5 FOR A CAN, PEPSI CAME IN AND HALTED COKES PRICE HIKE…NAU KOLA MAS STAP K2 TASOL.

AND WE KNOW BMOBILE & TELIKOM ARE STILL YET TO RECOVER FROM THE TKO BY DIGICEL…

    PNG NEEDS ANOTHER ENERGY COMPANY….DEFINITE.
