SOUTHERN Highlands Governor William Powi was a public servant prior to his appointment as provincial administrator of SHP before he ran for governorship in last year’s elections. He did not pop up like a mushroom to become a governor. He overhauled the public service mechanism as administrator. He also initiated projects. What he is doing now is to maintain and ensure the projects he started are delivered. As governor, he has the power to hire and fire. Those who failed to deliver were removed. As a result, many people are making all sorts of allegations against him. I am confident he will  deliver what he has lined up and prove his critics wrong. – Justin Wawi, Port Moresby
