Powi saluted

Letters

I SALUTE William T Powi on his brave statement stating his reasons regarding his resignation from the ruling PNC party.
His statement in The National on May 17 (Page 22) reflects a vibrant leadership who has a true heart to serve his people.
Unlike the others swinging big time to and fro in the floor of parliament, his action was based on a belief that will set the country on a path of prosperity and not peril.
Hence, it his vision to see the country divert from a path of peril led by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to a part of prosperity.
What has gone wrong under the nose of those parliamentarians under PNC cannot be denied as they know it is morally and constitutionally wrong.
The PM, in his continuous effort to lure the vulnerable ones with money and playing his dictatorship politics, cannot be left unspoken.
Powi’s stand in protest of the country’s ruling is solely based on the integrity of our constitutions, laws, policies and proper governance other than the fear of being restrained of service deliveries or government funding.
Good leaders are wise and stand for the good because they possess knowledge that highlights evil from good and choose to be on the good side.
People who lack knowledge cannot and will not lead because they are blind and being blind is terrible because you will be manipulated by the evil ones to feed their evil lust and ruin the country.
William Powi, I believe your people will be pleased to have such a leader who is outspoken and demonstrating a bold character that is born of the wise.
