THE Southern Highlands provincial government is not getting any revenue benefits from the Gobe oil project, Governor William Powi said.

Powi said last week that revenue from the Gobe project had gone to the National Government.

Powi was responding to a recent media statement asking the provincial government to verify how much money it had received from the Gobe project and how it had been used to benefit the province.

“Apart from the Independent state of PNG, the SHPG does not receive any special support grants, royalties or other grants it receives from the Kutubu and Moran projects.

“I ask all critics to wait and give me five years before judging me.

“I want critics to be responsible and get their facts right and at the right time.”
