PROVINCIAL police commanders in the New Guinea Islands have been asked to discuss their accommodation problems with their provincial heads.
Islands assistant commissioner for police Anthon Billy told the commanders that solutions to accommodation problems in their respective island provinces would be resolved at provincial, regional and national levels by discussing them with their governors and provincial law and
order committees.
Chief Supt Billy said while the national government wanted an increase of the police work force to 8,000 by 2015, accommodation for police officers was a nationwide problem that needed to be resolved.
