 SCHOOL leavers need innovative practical skills to enhance them in real life situation, Nehemiah Benjamin, principal of the Employee Assistance Service Training School, says.

He engaged specialists from the public and private sector to share their skills with students.

This includes a certificate and diploma in accounting, human resource management, information technology, office administration, tourism and hospitality.

Support services contract facility (SCCF) manager Ken Elonaga and service provider’s Delilah Kelly and Elsie Samuel were invited to share agricultural extension skills and technologies.

SSCF is a unit within the Morobe agriculture and livestock division that caters for innovative agricultural extension work in rural areas enhancing farmers’ ability and resource capacity.

It also engages retired public servants and company employees in specialist fields such as technical personnel to equip rural farmers with knowledge and skills.
