THE people of Chimbu have thanked the Government for the appointment of Nick Kuman as Education Minister in the recent Cabinet reshuffle.
Deputy Governor James Kendyagl said it was a great achievement for the Gumine MP to be appointed to that portfolio.
“We thank the Prime Minister Peter O’Neill for the trust and confidence he has for the member for Gumine and the people of Simbu,” Kendyagl said.
He said Kuman and Kerenga Kua, the Minister for Justice and Attorney-General were both from Simbu.
“With these two ministers, we believe the major outstanding projects will be implemented efficiently and in a timely manner,” he said.
He said the two outstanding projects that were in dire need of funding included the Highlands technical university earmarked for the Kondiu secondary school and the Highlands regional treasury complex to be built in Kundiawa.
