Prepare lessons for term two

Letters

I SUGGEST that all teachers prepare lessons and assignments for the second term.
Ask the students to pick up printed copies with the teacher’s mobile number at their own timing within a week. The students can read the notes and ask questions via mobile phone if they do not understand something.
Parents need to pay for phone credits given the situation.
Students can submit their assignments on the due dates set.
Tests can be arranged a day apart for each grade and use more classrooms to accommodate the total enrolment.
Other teachers can help to supervise.
Online learning will not work given the very high rates of data charges by network providers in the country.
This is my proposal.
I request meaningful and constructive discussions here with our Education Minister and the Government to take note.
We cannot just sit and wait.

  • At this point in time, we need our top management team to think and plan critically. COVID 19 is not giving us any clear indication on what to do. If we sit back and do nothing, we’ll be caught off-gurded when the virus is successfully battled out. And if we try to get back to class we will be risking our lives. May our good Lord guide our good government as He alone knows what’s best for us.
