Prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene increase

PRICES for petrol, diesel and kerosene in Port Moresby have slightly increased this month.
The price of petrol went up by two toea to K3.23, from K3.20 last month.
Diesel increased by four toea to K3.08 from K3.03 last month.
The price of kerosene increased by one toea to K2.80.
According to the Independent Consumer and Competition Commission, the increase in the retail prices for the three petroleum products is attributed to the increase in the Import Parity Prices for January.
The commission said the increase in crude oil price last month was mainly attributed to production cuts by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and Russia.
