Prices of fuel rise

 RETAIL prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene in Port Moresby have increased, the Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) said yesterday.

Commissioner Dr Billy Manoka said the price of petrol increased by K0.16 to K3.89 per litre from K3.73 per litre last month.

He said both diesel and kerosene prices increased by 21 toea.

Diesel will now sell for K3.52 per litre from K3.29.

Kerosene will sell for K3.41 from K3.20.

Manoka said the increase in domestic fuel prices was triggered by the continuous depreciation of kina and an increase in crude oil prices for September.
