Continuous barbaric killings and beheadings of people in rural Ambenob area of Madang has prompted a church leader to urge Christians to pray,
Fr Peter Hunters, provincial government church representative, said he had received more reports of continuous barbaric killings.
“People are still living in fear of being the next to be killed,” he said.
Hunters said authorities had to find out why there was a group going around killing people.
He has organised a group of pastors to discuss how churches could assistant Government authorities stop the beheadings of innocent people.
“I appeal to Christians regardless of whatever denomination you come from, to pray for God’s protection on the lives of men, women and children and families who are living in jungles in fear,” Hunters said.
