I AM from East New Britain and I support the initiative by our Governor Ereman ToBaining Jr in focusing on developing human resource.

I also salute Deputy Prime Minister Grand Chief Leo Dion for his leadership and for playing a key role in improving the quality of education.

ENB must focus on education and human resource, which is a backbone sector.

Most Grade Six, Eight, Ten and Twelve students in the province are now looking for jobs to pay for their school fees and searching for ways to obtain quality studies that will enhance and broaden their dreams towards a better life.

I call on other ENB parliament leaders to work together to stay focused to fund school subsidies for tertiary students.

The young generation must be well looked after as they will be the potential clusters in the trade sector that will drive the local economy that pulls in wealth and businesses.

We must provide them with quality skills and training as well as job opportunities to work in the province or run small businesses.

This will contribute towards a broad-based economic growth and also bring positive social and economic impacts into the province and the country.
