A PRIVATE clinic says the Covid-19 has impacted its operations but it has taken steps to adjust to the new normal.
Platinum Medical Centre managing director Dr Koh Win Wai said the clinic was still operating but with strict Covid-19 preventative measures.
The centre is located inside the RH Hypermarket, Gordon, Port Moresby, and has been operating since 2017. Dr Koh said since last week, they had noted a slight increase in visitors to the clinic.
“We are happy to provide primary healthcare to the public,” he said.
“We do not just treat the patient only but also educate them regarding their illness and how to take care of their health.
“It is possible for the country to achieve the zero daily Covid-19 cases if everyone remains compliant with all stipulated standard operating procedures and advice on social distancing, to wash hands regularly, maintain self-hygiene and wear face masks.”
“We are already implementing certain measurement such as social distancing, controlling the flow of patients in the clinic where we encourage patients to wait in their cars after registering at our counter and call them once the doctor is available.
“We also disinfect our premises every two hours.”
The centre offers a comprehensive range of primary healthcare services and solutions.
“We have a team of highly-skilled, fully-accredited medical professionals and clinic staff who are ready to provide primary healthcare service,” Dr Koh said.
