The National – Friday, February 11, 2011

THE first open member for Anglimp-South Waghi was imprisoned for misusing a small amount of the people’s money.
After serving his term, he lost his reputation and never made it back into politics.
The Ombudsman Commission investigated and nailed him.
Jamie Maxtone-Graham was given the mandate by the same people in 2004 and again in 2007.
He was to bring social, economical and political changes.
By the end of last year, he has wasted more than six years of the voters’ time.
During that time, he fed us with rhetoric, shown us how to break laws of good governance and delivered hot air.
The Minj district office is closed with no signs of the manager or any public servant.
There is no support service for East Kambia.
There are no tangible infrastructure or upgrading of roads and feeder roads.
Lawlessness is everywhere with clans paying compensation to settle disputes every month.
I call on the Ombudsman Commission, auditor-general and an auditor to check the electorate’s books.
If former MP Opai Konangil can be jailed for stealing a cent, the current MP has a lot more to account for.
