A FULL investigation has been launched by police to recover firearms removed from the armoury at police headquarters in Konedobu on Monday.

NCD police commander Andy Bawa said that investigators were working around the clock to find the thieves.

He added that the thieves with the firearms posed a danger to city residents and urged residents to report any suspicious movements of people and firearms in the NCD.

“The public should call the police emergency number or call the nearest police stations and report to them,” he said.

He also appealed to the thieves to surrender themselves and the firearms to police.

Bawa said a full list of the stolen firearms would be released to the public after police collected the relevant information.
