I WOULD like to congratulate member-elect for Wapenamanda and prominent lawyer, Rimbink Pato, for the huge win in the battle against the sitting member, Miki Kaeok.
The win was not a surprise as the people have obviously spoken.
For too long, they have been blindly appointing leaders who do not think of their well-being.
Wapenamanda’s constituencies are scattered and the few government services delivered are to those living along the Highlands Highway.
We do not know how the past leaders used the DSIP funds and I urge the new member to look into this.
If there was any misappropriation those involved should be prosecuted as the money belonged to the people.
