Probe use of project funds

I AM disgusted by how Murray Valley Growth Centre’s funds are being managed by the so-called project manager, coordinator and chairman.
The Fly River provincial government has allocated K17 million under the Special Purpose Authority Scheme to develop the area over a five-year period.
More than K5 million has been released since 2008 but till today, little work has been done apart from clearing the project site and a partially constructed airstrip.
People are left in the dark as to how the funds are being utilised and are barred from being involved by the project management team.
I call on the governor and Kiunga authorities to probe the use of funds and prosecute those who are found to be involved in scandalous acts.
