PEOPLE in Jiwaka will be educated on financial inclusion knowledge through an awareness programme.
This followed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between a local group Binz Ice Ambra Association (BIAA) and MiBank in Port Moresby last week.
MiBank agent network manager Steven Ereman said it would promote financial education and literacy training to the people which should lead to better economic outcomes.
MiBank has been in partnership with BIAA after setting up a mobile money agency at Koswa village.
MiBank has 16 branches countrywide, with more than 260 staff, and more than 300,000 registered customers.
It targets low income people with financial inclusion through use of digital technology and gender inclusion being a key focus area.
