A TRAINING and development programme on building the value of women and allowing them to reach their full potential in life will soon be launched in Port Moresby later this month, an organiser said.
A Heart of a Woman is a community development project owned and operated by Blue Haven Ltd in Port Moresby.
The primary aim of the project is to encourage and empower women to pursue their dreams.
Company director Mala Nadesalingam said A Heart of a Woman is a ministry that will design and deliver training courses for the sole purpose of developing women across a wide cross-section of the social fabric of PNG.
The programme will provide coaching, on the job training and mentoring services for women to improve their earning power.
“It’s going to be a memorable event for the women of our country especially for those whose lives have been affected by pain and rejection from the past distracting them from excelling in life,” Nadesalingam said.
The project will provide training on how to start a business, how to manage finance, personal development, professional dress and grooming, journalism and media productions, basic sewing skills and enhancing agricultural and fisheries skills.
“Many more industries are targeted and the focus of our project is on where there is a need for training.”
The project will be launched at the Sione Kami Memorial church ground in Port Moresby on Aug 28.
