Programme helps 80 PNG students study in China

Education

Eighty students from Papua New Guinea are currently studying in China through a programme established in 2006.
The Education Pacific Agency, an education agency, provides an alternate way for students in the Pacific region to achieve their goals in life.
The agency (EPA) was registered with the Papua New Guinea Investment Promotion Authority in 2015.
It was recognised by the Government through the embassy in Beijing in 2017 for contributing immensely to human resources development in Papua New Guinea.
Since its establishment, 20 students have graduated.
According to the agency, some of the graduates were working with various organisations and industries, including petroleum and mining, aviation, finance, treasury and Transparency International.
