Project Yumi gets solid backing in effort to help the poor

THE Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Oilmin Field Services are helping Project Yumi deliver much-needed services to poor communities country.
Project Yumi director Renee Mero said the partnership was important for them to deliver services to schools and hospitals.
“The partnership with Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Oilmin Field Services is vital for Project Yumi to deliver educational and medical resources to schools and health centre around the country,” she said.
“We are very grateful to have both organisations come on board.”
Sir Brian Bell Foundation assisted with the freight of two containers from Brisbane which brought in new and used donations.
Oilmin Field Services has agreed to provide logistical support for the delivery of the donations to areas in the country that are within their reach.
As a result of the new partnership, donations were organised to be delivered to the Gulf Christian (GCS) Services during the weekend.
The donation will assist Gulf Christian Services in their work at Kikori General Hospital, Kapuna Hospital and the Kapuna Life School in Gulf. The donations included hospital beds, wheelchairs, walking frames, books, students’ desks and chairs.
