BUGATIM Primary School, in Rai Coast district, Madang, is the recipient of a new staff house and classroom under the governor’s education plan.
Deputy Governor Rama Marisan, during the opening of the buildings, said Governor Jim Kas had committed K6 million to assisting students with school fees for tertiary institutions and other programmes as per the provincial education sector reform.
“I am pleased to announce that the K5 million per district allocation now in the governor’s hands, has already been disbursed, K4 million to each district has already been paid,” he said.
Kas committed K600,000 for the Rai Coast area with the opening of the Bugatim classroom and staff house costing K200,000; Lalok aid post K100,000; Lalok elementary and a business cooperative K50,000 each and K200,000 for Saidor station.
