Promote local produce

THE backbone of PNG is not the people who are roaming around in towns and cities but the people with green fingers. Many farmers currently face hardships in selling ther produce after spending time and effort to grow them.
The Government should encourage local produce and stop importing what we can grow in our country.
If you go to the supermarkets around the country, you will still see imported fresh produce such as bulb onion, cabbage and mushrooms which we can grow in our country.
There are some countries that cannot produce what we have in PNG. Why can’t the Government start exporting our fresh produce to those countries?
People will till their lands when there are better opportunities and arrangements to market products.
