GIVING value for money products to customers is important to City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) Group, says managing director Mahesh Patel.
He was speaking at the opening a Prouds retail shop at the Stop&Shop complex in Waigani Central, Port Moresby, yesterday.
Prouds has been operating a duty free and travel shop at the Jackson International Airport departure and arrival lounges since July 2015.
“What we have done is open the duty-paid store,” Patel said.
“This is the first of many stores that we are looking at doing.
“We have created 40 new jobs.”
He said the company employed 25 staff members at its airport duty-free outlets.
“The products here are firstly branded, genuine and world-renowned,” Patel said.
“What we are doing is clearing the clutter in the market. Where can you go and trust the product that you can buy?
As you know, there are a lot of fake and duplicate products coming into the market recently. It is a big problem in the country. What we are doing is giving the customers a big confidence. You can not only come and pick products but try out products.”
Patel said the products includes a range of international fragrances, cosmetics, sunglasses, watches, jewellery, handbags and consumer electronics.
