Provide better benefits for Ok Tedi mine staff

Letters

THE Ok Tedi mine was second to Bougainville Copper Ltd (BCL) mine.
These were the greatest mines in Papua New Guinea. When BCL went down, Ok Tedi Mine continued.
When comparing employees’ skills set and mining experiences around the world, it is fair to say that Ok Tedi was too good.
It was well managed in all aspects and its employees enjoyed many benefits.
People who were around back then will surely agree with this.
When the Government took over everything, things started getting worse.
The Ok Tedi mine is owned by Papua New Guinea and employees are supposed to enjoy better benefits from the mine.
They deserve to work under better conditions.
