THE Morobe provincial government presented K500,000 to Digicel PNG to boost its information technology services in the province.
Morobe has become the latest province to embark on Digicel PNG’s government collaboration programme following a memorandum of understanding signed in Lae last Thursday.
Morobe Governor Kelly Naru and Digicel PNG’s government relations adviser Festus Maiginap last Thursday signed the agreement to begin the programme with the provincial administration.
The funding will cater for communication infrastructure in selected sites led by Nawaeb. Waria and Garaina in Bulolo, Ongawafa in Markham and Siassi Island in Tewai-Siassi are prioritised areas to benefit from this programme, which will end in 2015.
