Province honours teachers

 TEACHERS from all schools in Enga assembled at Wabag Primary School last Friday to celebrate World Teachers Day.

Enga is the only province in the Highlands region that took part in the celebration, Papua New Guinea Teachers’ Association Highlands’ regional secretary, John Melson said.

Melson was accompanied by national education board member Robert Wayne and staff from the association. He said this was the third year for teachers throughout the country to celebrate their day, joining colleagues from 127 countries in the celebration.

“I commend the teachers in Enga for making this day become a special day,” he said. “You alone have made it happen and I hope next year will become the biggest.”
