THE Central province administration wants to pursue its vision of “smart, wise, fair, healthy and happy province” through its Corporate Plan 2011-2015 launched last Friday.
While focusing on issues affecting provincial departments, the plan will reflect the importance of quality vital services provided on a daily basis.
In his address, Central acting provincial administrator Manaseh Rapilla said the plan was the peak of the provincial government’s vision for a carefully coordinated and focused approach to development for every community in the province.
Rapilla said the corporate plan focused on seven key result areas that included advocating for effective and efficient management resource use, key stakeholders involvement, careful financial management, effective and efficient human resource management, physical asset management, supporting wards, local level government and districts and mainstreaming cross-cutting issues.
He said the provincial administration was fully aware of the failure of such development and corporate plans.
“A monitoring and evaluation process using current systems has therefore being devised and forms an integral component of the corporate plan,” Rapilla said.
He said despite the launching being inconsistent with the terms of the plan, the provincial administration was already working on some of the key result areas.
Rapilla acknowledged the efforts and contributions of stakeholders and individuals, former provincial administrator Raphael Yibmaramba and outgoing governor Alphonse Moroi for having the corporate plan finally on the ground.
Secretary for provincial and local level government affairs Munare Uyassi commended the provincial government, saying it was  an organised group of individuals working for the good of the province.
