Provincial budget lower, says Wouwou

West Sepik Governor and chairman of finance and planning Tony Wouwou said the 2019 budget of K168,411,404 was slightly lower compared to last year’s budget of K179,113,652.
The provincial government passed its 2019 budget of K168 million last month.
He explained during the budget presentation that it comprised of two parts: Part A was based on national grants by the National Government and part B was based on internal revenue.
He said the national grants appropriated for 2019 were at K160, 676,404 which were K12, 019, 248 less than last year’s appropriation.
