THE demand for condoms in the country has increased with more people feeling more comfortable in using them, it has been revealed.

Population Services International (PSI) recently recorded a big sale of its Seif Raida condoms to City Pharmacy Ltd Group.

It said in a statement on Tuesday that the sale of 80,000 Seif Raida condoms to CPL was a single record sale.

“This indicates that the demand for condoms in PNG has increased and more everyday Papua New Guineans feel comfortable buying and using condoms,” PSI/PNG country representative Gabriel Ganci said.

“This is a milestone sale for PSI/PNG since establishing the organisation within the country five years ago.”

Ganci acknowledged CPL’s role in promoting healthy living in the community and ensuring and promoting the fight against HIV/AIDS in the country.
