A PUBLIC servant has commended his recent training in Japan saying it exposed him and others who attended to the use of information technology in teaching.
Madako Darig Suari is the director for aid coordination and development at the Education Department.
He said the trip enhanced their knowledge and skills on mastering EQUTV in PNG.
Suari said the department with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) sent eight education officers to Japan for the training.
“Various requirements, particularly the need for improved resources, equipment and personnel, remains a task for the education department,” he said.
“The department and JICAhave established the understanding to task the programme so that EQUTV becomes a success story in teaching and learning in PNG.”
He said the training was conducted at the Tsukuba University.
“It is viewed that participants mostly DoE officers working in the division that have close link to the EQUTV programme have found the training useful.”
