Public servants await CPI increase

THE year is almost ending and there is no signs of the much anticipated release of public servants’ three per cent consumer price index promised.
Public servants have been waiting since pay 14 of this year to receive that entitlement.
It seems the unions representing the public servants have lost track of reality and are still in wonderland.
The unions should have addressed this prolonged matter with the appropriate authorities for the rectification of issues affecting public servants.
The Government should have done something to fix this problem.
There are few paydays remaining 2020 ends, hence all bodies concerned should work to address this quickly.
Public servants are struggling in these uncertain times so the Government should provide something for them to celebrate this Christmas.
