Publish Grade 12 selection list
THE Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) has put the public in limbo by not publishing the Grade 12 selection results.
The list was supposed to be put out on Jan 8.
Despite seeing Grade 12 selection results through the national online application system (Noas), is it more satisfying to see students’ names online or in newspapers to which institutions students are selected into?
Many students and parents live in rural areas and cannot access effective internet connection.
Many can’t afford mobile credits to continue checking online on a regular basis.
It is understood that the process might be too overwhelming.
The department should publish the Grade 12 selection lists to tertiary institutions.

Online selection is good but not convinient to those who do not have high phones and others who live in remote parts of the country.
