Put details of new hospital on billboard

Letters

WHILE driving from Madang to Bogia, I noticed development taking place Daigul Health Centre in Bogia, which will eventually become a rural hospital.
Something is not right as I can’t find a billboard stating the donor, the amount allocated, the project duration and the artistic impression of the project.
This should be in place for the public to see.
I hear rumours that two prominent figures in the district have personal interests in the project.
This can be seen by their daily presence in the area without technical people from the provincial health authority, the Works Department and other stakeholders.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a foreign-based company in Bogia wins the contract to work on the building.
One of two prominent figures mentioned in his speech that any project in Bogia will go through close door tender.
