Put God first, officers told

 PLANS will only work with the divine intervention of God, Correctional Services Commissioner Michael Waipo says.

He told a dedication church service at Bomana Prison yesterday that female and male inmates were invited to join prison officers and their families to dedicate 2015 to God.

Waipo said it was important to have a dedication service so that they could continue to trust in God in their programmes.

He said they would not achieve programmes this year unless officers and inmates committed their activities to God. 

He urged officers to lead by example so that the inmates could follow them.

Bomana Correctional Services Prison commanding officer Kiddy Keko thanked Waipo and the administration for the support to the prison.

The service included the dedication of a new sound system for inmates, plus the presentation of Bibles to staff members.
